Customer Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy governs cancellation, refund eligibility, service fees, and liability limitations for ambulance bookings made through MedCab Care Pvt. Ltd. By booking a service, you agree to the terms below.

1. Nature of Service

MedCab is a technology platform that connects customers with independent ambulance drivers and medical transport providers. MedCab is not a medical service provider and does not control medical procedures performed during transport.

2. Cancellation Policy
  • Before Driver Assignment: Cancellation is allowed without penalty. Any payment made may be refunded after deducting payment gateway or transaction charges.
  • After Driver Assignment: Once an ambulance driver is assigned, the advance amount and booking amount become strictly NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • This applies when cancellation is initiated by the customer due to personal reasons including change of plan, alternate arrangement, patient delay, or non-service-related issues.
3. Service Fee Model

MedCab charges a platform service commission between 10% – 15% of the total booking value. This fee is earned once a driver is assigned and the ambulance is reserved.

4. Partial Refund Eligibility

If the total amount paid exceeds MedCab’s service fee, a partial refund may be processed as:

Refundable Amount = Total Paid – (Service Fee + Driver Charges + Transaction Charges + Third-Party Fees)

Payment gateway charges, banking fees, and third-party expenses are non-refundable.

5. No Refund Situations
  • Cancellation after driver assignment for personal reasons
  • Journey stopped midway by customer
  • False, misleading, or misuse of emergency booking
  • Repeated cancellations blocking ambulance resources
6. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 working days.

7. Force Majeure

MedCab shall not be liable for delays, service interruptions, or cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control including natural disasters, traffic restrictions, government orders, strikes, accidents, or medical emergencies.

8. Limitation of Liability

MedCab’s total liability, under any circumstance, shall not exceed the service fee collected for that booking. MedCab shall not be responsible for medical outcomes, treatment decisions, or actions of independent ambulance providers.

9. Indemnification

Customers agree to indemnify and hold MedCab harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or legal actions arising from misuse of the platform, false emergency requests, or violation of these terms.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be governed by the laws of India and subject to the jurisdiction of courts located where MedCab Care Pvt. Ltd. is registered.
