Med Cab is a technology platform that connects customers with independent ambulance drivers and medical transport providers. Med Cab is not a medical service provider and does not control medical procedures performed during transport.
Customer Cancellation & Refund Policy
This policy governs cancellation, refund eligibility, service fees, and liability limitations for ambulance bookings made through Med Cab Care Pvt. Ltd. By booking a service, you agree to the terms below.
Applicable to all Med Cab bookings- Before Driver Assignment: Cancellation is allowed without penalty. Any payment made may be refunded after deducting payment gateway or transaction charges.
- After Driver Assignment: Once an ambulance driver is assigned, the advance amount and booking amount become strictly NON-REFUNDABLE.
- This applies when cancellation is initiated by the customer due to personal reasons including change of plan, alternate arrangement, patient delay, or non-service-related issues.
Med Cab charges a platform service commission between 10% – 15% of the total booking value. This fee is earned once a driver is assigned and the ambulance is reserved.
If the total amount paid exceeds Med Cab’s service fee, a partial refund may be processed as:
Payment gateway charges, banking fees, and third-party expenses are non-refundable.
- Cancellation after driver assignment for personal reasons
- Journey stopped midway by customer
- False, misleading, or misuse of emergency booking
- Repeated cancellations blocking ambulance resources
If a consumer cancels an ambulance booking after the ambulance has started moving towards the pickup location or has already reached the pickup point, the following charges will apply:
- 1A minimum cancellation fee of ₹300
- 2Actual distance-based charges, calculated on a per-kilometer rate from the ambulance’s starting point to the cancellation point
- !Whichever is higher will be applicable
Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 working days.
Med Cab shall not be liable for delays, service interruptions, or cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control including natural disasters, traffic restrictions, government orders, strikes, accidents, or medical emergencies.
Med Cab’s total liability, under any circumstance, shall not exceed the service fee collected for that booking. Med Cab shall not be responsible for medical outcomes, treatment decisions, or actions of independent ambulance providers.
Customers agree to indemnify and hold Med Cab harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or legal actions arising from misuse of the platform, false emergency requests, or violation of these terms.
Any disputes shall be governed by the laws of India and subject to the jurisdiction of courts located where Med Cab Care Pvt. Ltd. is registered.
